GIFT OF THE HAND

Imagine if everyone in the temple took on just ONE volunteer role a year. The truth is that over 1/3 of our membership volunteers in some way for the temple each year; some taking on multiple roles, serving and/or chairing a committee or event. And while some of these volunteers are recognized by name, many other volunteers work behind the scenes ensuring crucial tasks are completed for the benefit of all our members and guests.

Imagine the difference we can make in our engagement in our own congregation - together. We ask you to look over ALL the amazing volunteer possibilities throughout a year in our temple and choose the ones you may be interested in learning more about and potentially serving.

Your engagement is very important. There is a place and role for everyone who wants to be involved in Congregation B'nai Israel.

Temple Tours

As the only Reform Temple in Central AR, we pride ourselves on welcoming church and tour groups into our home to learn and observe. We conduct tours on any day by making arrangements in advance, but mostly on Friday afternoons, that lead into services, so our guests can see our service. Share the treasures of our temple, our history, and the values of Judaism to our neighbors. Tours are all year, but mostly in the spring. Docents can accept to conduct as many tours as they like. Tour leaders accompany the tour group through services.
